Rectangular piece of embroidered textile, made in two sections. The main panel has three large embroidered peacocks in a row, worked in cream, light brown and green silk threads. The plain linen ground is broken up with areas of small circular patterns, in pulled threadwork, using thread the same colour as the ground. The peacocks are framed with two bands of more rectangular patterned pulled threadwork. The larger piece has selvedges at the longer edges and, sewn onto the bottom edge is a separate strip with a diamond pattern woven in continuous supplementary weft using unplyed red cotton.
