Wood butter container standing on short pedestal base, the body expanding towards the mouth but contracting sharply over the upper quarter, decorated with alternating cross-hatched and plain squares in a large band, a small band of cross-hatching towards the rim and radiating lines on the base. There is a leather handle attached to the container through two protusions on the upper section of the container.
