porringer

Porringer decorated in brown, blue and green on a cream ground. In the hollow a five-sided motif of blue dots surrounded by brown dots, then a row of short brush strokes in brown, all following the five-sided form. The porringer has a border of two concentric brown lines between which are simple motifs in brown or green alternating with similar motifs in brown. Inside the border and filling the space between it and the five-sided design are rows of loops in blue and brown.
