

[One of a pair of] Rawhide moccasins of the type worn by shepherds from an area in the western Mountains, ending north of Bradesti village, inhabited by 'Mocani'. Handmade; cut out with special knife and 'ingurzita (gathered) with strips of leather. The tip of the mocassin, called 'gurgui', is placed sideways, with a fold in the sole. The leather strap is used for tying the mocassion around the ankle. Length: 32 cm; Width of back: 15 cm.
