The Horniman Museum will be closed from 24-26 December. The Horniman Gardens will be closed 25 December only.
Shield, roughly rectangular with shallow pointed ends, made of strips of cane set longitudinally, bound in thin cane thread; and edged with plaited cane. Handle and arm-guard of wood set horizontally in the middle, attached to the shield by cane strips.
