Waistcoat (suxme). Sulaymani Region Iraqi Kurdistan. Made in purple satin silk with rows of silver thread squares; lined in plain cotton; sleeveless. Black silk beading round the neck and front edges, buttons and button-loops of the same. Part of a woman's costume. Cloth woven in India. Could have been worn by a man.Length 15.7 in.Width 17.75 in.
