hat (clothing: headwear)

Black hat ('Songkok') with a velvet-like, flocked surface, and green synthetic fibre satin lining. The lining has been attached with red and cream machine stitching which creates a central diamond pattern. The brown, paper band reinforcing the rim has been treated to look like leather. This partially hides the manufacturing label (Tukang Song Kok, HJ: Ahmad Bin Dato Puteh, 12, A.Malay St: Bazaar, K.L.).
