Manuscript of 23 leaves of palm, of which eight have been written on, on one side only. With rectangular wooden covers. The edges of both leaves and covers have been painted red and gold. The letter contains a request by Mr. Pym to the last King of Cambodia (Norodom Suramarit) to see the Royal Cambodian ballet. The language used is Khmer, the scribes Buddhist monks of the monastery in Phnom Penh.
