The lift will be out of service until Friday 28 June while we work on a replacement, and the Museum may be noisier at times due to these works.
Black gauze fabric fan edged with black lace. The slats are of black lacquered wood, decorated with a gold painted design of male figures in a landscape surrounded by foliage and flowers. The slats are connected together at the base by a metal ring to which a black thread tassel is attached by a black thread loop.
These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database. Some of this is incomplete and there may be errors. This part of the website is also still under construction, so there may be some fields repeated or incorrectly formatted information.
