321.321-6 Necked bowl lutes sounded by plectrum

Sitar (kachvā sitar), built for 5 strings, all (spatulate-shaped) pegs surviving. No strings or frets. Bone string guider with 9 holes, bone upper bridge, the bass side carved in the profile of the head of an elephant, the treble in a a bird's head profile, with 10 holes. Wooden soundtable. Resonator broken, bridge and strings missing.
