BOOKS: 10 books in template plus periodicals
Household utensil with a variety of uses including holding lime powder (for chewing with Betel nuts). The serrated edge of the handle allows for better grip. Spoons are often given to brides when they leave their family homes to go live with their husbands. A bride will carry them in her 'Bilum', a traditional net bag woven from the fibres of local trees and plants, along with Betel nuts and lime as a sign that she is ready to entertain her husband's guests.
