Hen's nesting basket (indlwana venkunu) made of idwabe creeper wood and bound together with plant fibre twine. From Transkei, South Africa. A circular bowl shaped container for the hen to sit in, with branches extending upward to a point, where they are bound together creating a cage.

Would be used with a bed of grass inside for the hen to sit on. The basket may be used inside a hut or usually hung from the eaves by a rope of plaited grass.
