A pair of snuff-grinding stones (lejoe lakoae) from Transkei, South Africa. Consisting of a smaller upper stone (tailoana) and a larger flat topped lower stone (loala). Stones collected from a river. Type of stone is known as moralana.
Tobacco is grown in homestead gardens. The leaves are dried and ground, then mixed with 'mtabo', dried, burned and ground stems of tobacco plants.
