Woman's sleeved cotton dress made up of many panels hand sewn together. It is open to the waist and decorated round the front opening with couched silver-coloured braiding and metal strip, with bright pink braid sewn around the edges. The top of the shoulders each have four rectangles of metal strip, surrounded by couched swirling silver-coloured braiding and solid black counted threadwork. There is embroidery at the cuffs and front hem but most is reserved for the back hem, where there are three solid black embroidered blocks, separated by couched braided panels, which also form a wide panel beside the red wool hem.
