There will be tree works in the Gardens this week – please follow signs on site. The lift will be out of service until Friday 28 June while we work on a replacement.

The woman is also depicted carrying a stick, possibly a walking stick. The doll is in two halves and is hollow inside. The next doll in descending order fits inside of it. The base is undecorated. Part of a series of nesting dolls.
These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
