Bowed stringed instrument composed of a coconut shell body mounted on a rod in two sections, one narrow black and heavily carved, the other stout and plain, carrying at the top two pegs of drum shape. A high arched bow composed partly of a bent bamboo stick and partly of iron wire, held in tension by the hair. Apparently complete and sound, but not in playing order.
