Round backed lute. Hemispherical gourd resonator, covered with skin. 2 round sound holes. Black-painted geometric design on skin, which is glued to the resonator. Red and green horizontal bands ornament the neck. Resonator incised with geometric patterns. The membrane has a formal decoration suggesting script. Shows the influence of North African instruments.
