A cream coloured stripweave cotton cloth hand sewn together selvedge to selvedge. Made from nine equal sized strips, the black supplementary weft patterning (both continuous and discontinuous) has been worked so as to give a design to the whole cloth. In the centre is a white square containing a black diamond, surrounded by four black/white squares, all with a black diamond in the centre. This patterning is surrounded by a black Maltese Cross shaped border, made up of wider black lines and narrower white ones. The outer border of the textile has similar patterning.
