There will be tree works in the Gardens this week – please follow signs on site. The lift will be out of service until Friday 28 June while we work on a replacement.
A box and lid made of sterling silver. The container is made in the form of a mangosteen with a stalk and floral motifs in repousse work. The base of the box is flat. The box is ornamental and can be used by anyone. It is made from imported sheets of silver.
These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database. Some of this is incomplete and there may be errors. This part of the website is also still under construction, so there may be some fields repeated or incorrectly formatted information.
