Robe, del, blue red and gold. Robe worn by men and women as national dress. This is a woman’s summer robe: dark blue figured silk, knee length with a narrow mandarin collar edged with a band of metal thread in red and cream appliqué, this band continues down the front of the opening edge. Long sleeves with turned back cuffs, cf hooves; fastened with loops and fabric knots and blue and gold oval ‘buttons’: two on the neck and right shoulder, one below the right armpit, two pairs of two at the right waist. Lined with printed cotton – flowers and geometric motifs in blue, white and green. Length 49 in.
