Fire making stick. ne of two pieces of seede wood (Calophyllum sp) used for making fire. The sticks are placed on the ground on top of a bundle of dry grass. A lengthy piece of rattan (1982.25i) is pulled to and fro underneath the sticks, causing heat by friction.
These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
