Large rectangular cream cotton textile decorated with multicoloured motifs creating a centre panel and 4 borders. It is sewn together from 2 long pieces to create a greater width. The decoration on the panel consists of an eight-stemmed foliate motif. This is surrounded by a ring of 8 paired curved foliate motif. Between the motifs is a floral motif which extends beyond the ring. The shorter sides of the panel are decorated with 4 scrolled foliate motif. Between the centre motif and this band are more floral motifs, some of which form a band above the scrolls. The others fill the remaining area. The innermost border contains rectangular areas with Arabic lettering. This is framed by toothed borders. Each corner contains a floral motif. The next border and the outermost border are identical. They contain a printed band with floral and buti motifs with some painted colouring. They frame a wider border containing medallions with Arabic script or floral motifs separated by a linked band containing 2 different floral patterns.
