One of five parts of a hill woman’s costume (1985. 43 – 47). This costume is for best wear, for example for visiting friends or attending events.
Wrap-over skirt of black voile with border of red, pink and grey flowers; printed cotton with inscription: ‘Mansukh’s nodella voile, rubia voile, a quality product, fast colour, crease resist, Bombay 2’. Knotted in pleats as worn by the Rest House Keeper’s wife, Bhojpur.
