Sample of narrow band of woven, woollen texile ('chumpi'). It is decorated with motifs in pink, white, green and red. The pattern consists of semi-abstract floral, foliate and animal(?) in a contrasting coloured, rectangular field. The use of complementary warp is shown in the exchange of motif and ground colour between the 2 sides of the textile. Each of these is framed by a narrow stripe in a third colour. The short, woven length is wrapped around 2 of the loom components. The warp is tied with 3 strands of wool. At the end a plied green and cream loop is threaded through, and attached to the rod.
