Figure of Ganesha wearing a low, five-panelled crown, seated on a throne with a lotus flower at the centre and a bud and stem to either side. The trunk is lifted upwards to the right, holding a sweet. The upper pair of arms are holding what appear to be an axe and a goad, the lower pair holding a bowl of sweets and a noose. A cobra is threaded across the shoulder and chest, and a rat is sitting below the raised right knee. Carved from marble with remains of red, black and gold pigment.
