ibeji figure (figure (ritual & belief: cult of the dead))

A carved wooden male Ibeji figure standing on a rounded base. He has detailed, decorative plaited hair and lines of scars on the sides of his face. He is wearing two beaded bracelets on one wrist and a necklace. There are also small holes through his ears, suggesting he may have originally had decorations here. The letters 'RA' are cut into the base.
