A brass Fon sculpture; figure one, male, wearing patterned shorts, is balanced upright on two legs with arms positioned to play a large wooden, bongo-type drum extended diagonally outwards from between his legs. Figure two, female, wearing a patterned skirt is standing upright, balanced on two legs with back bowed forward and arms extended sideways as if for balance when dancing. The figures are attached by four screws to a rectangular wooden platform, the four edges scored with a decorative line. Originally made by Brass Casters' Guild in Benin Republic, purchased from junk shop in England..
