A two-faced glove male puppet of Mohammed ("Two-faced Mohammed") with a short, central rod. Head is made from a gourd. He wears a round fur hat. One face has a long aquiline nose, broad black moustache and beard, full mouth and hooded eyelids with long eyelashes. The other face has a quizzical expression, twisted lips and a thin moustached and beard, snub nose and long eyelashes. He wears a lime green, blue, red, black and silver striped robe (KHALAT) which is trimmed down the centre at the front and at the collar with gold, lacy fabric.
This puppet was bought from Master Mataykub in a shop near the Ark in Khiva. He makes puppets in a different style from Master Mukhtarbek Usupov.
