"The Wolf" / "The Jackal" / "The Fox"

Rod puppet of "The Wolf" / "The Jackal" / "The Fox" where the animal is disguised as a sheep. The Wolf/Fox/Jackal is a favourite character in Nukus Puppet Theatre.

Puppet has a central wooden rod and two (missing) rods, one for each hand. The puppet is a standing figure with a (probably) wooden head covered in fabric and hair; floppy ears; a pointed muzzle and painted eyes and mouth. It wears a red scarf; a beige, three-quarter-length jacket with a belt, a dark blue skirt and "mittens".
