Rod puppet of a rich man or a merchant - SIK MARBAI. A SIK MARBAI, when working as a merchant in the bazaar, may be satirized and cheated by a local hero, OMER BEY.
The puppet has a round head with wide-open eyes; a bulbous nose; black eyebrows made from black felt; a drooping moustache made from hair; an open red mouth and a sturdy body with a big belly. He is dressed in a purple hat and robe. The robe is trimmed with gold loops down the front opening. He also wears a white shirt, green trousers and slippers.
The puppet is operated by two short, horizontal rods; one at the back of the head and one at the lower back.
