Glove puppet with a short central rod. Painted gourd head made into a woman with 'Khivan' features - a large chin and rosebud mouth; pleasant expression. The woman has been given long black hair which is partially covered by a headscarf made in fabric decorated with a yellow and green floral design on a white background. She wears a red, green, yellow, blue-black and silver, synthetic ikat robe which is trimmed with a gold openwork fabric at the neck and cuffs. Possibly a housewife although could be used to play any number of female characters.
