"The Innocent Shepherd"

Glove puppet of 'The Innocent Shepherd' in the Khivan story 'Wrongly Imprisoned'. The puppet can also be used to play other characters in other stories.

Puppet is of a man (the 'juvenile lead'). He has large eyes, long eyelashes, a thin beard and moustache, and very protruding ears. He is wearing a black Uzbek hat (DOPPE), which is trimmed in white; a robe (KHALAT) striped with red, green, brown and black, and which is trimmed at the cuffs, neck and down the front opening in a golden fabric decorated with a leaf motif.
