earring

One of a pair of earrings in white metal (possibly silver) and blue beads (possibly turquoise), with modern wire hooks for pierced ears. A hook passes through a hemispherical stud and opens into the main motif, which is a flat panel of kidney-shaped openwork with three panels contained within it. One of these panels has a circular turquoise inset in strands and circles; another panel has a quatrefoil motif; the lowermost motif has four curves ending in globules. Five chains are suspended from the lower rim of each earring. Each chain supports an amber-coloured bead and an oval, pointed, white metal pendant.
