kachina doll

Kachina doll carved from wood, and decorated with polychrome pigments. The doll wears a mask with a green wool fringe at its base, black wool for its hair, and hair as a beard. It has a straw tie around its waist, red wool bands around the calves and across the chest. Two bands around the arms, the backs of the shoes and an animal pelt attached to the back of the belt are made from leather/suede.
