vase (household miscellany)

One of a pair of Japanese cloisonne vases. Round circular base, the main part of the vase rounded. The main colour of the vase is brown, decorated with swirls. Around the base are a series of patterns (turquoise, orange, yellow, red, lilac, black and white). Three panels of decoration on the main body, dark brown with a gold glitter effect. They are decorated with blue and white flowers, and green and red leaves. Around the neck is a circular panel, decorated as the previous panels. There is a long narrow neck. The decorations on this are divided into two. Each section is decorated with alternate blue and yellow panels, separated by a red line containing yellow and white flowers. The top of the neck has a brass border, and the inside of the vase is blue.
