A blue cloisonne jar. The base is round and flat (white). The majority of the body is turquoise with gold metal heart-shaped patterns over it and blue, red and pink flowers. There are two circular cartouches (one on the front and one on the back) of orange pink and blue flowers with green leaves on a white ground, with a border of small black dots . These decorations also have gold metal heart-shaped patterns on them. Around the neck is a purple/ brown triangle pattern with black ovals. The inside of the jar is white glazed fabric and when acquired by the Museum contained an assortment of shells (shells have been removed and numbered 2003.229.4).
