A carved ivory buckle with a monkey face, in two pieces. One plain ivory piece has a slot for the belt and a hole to attach to the other buckle piece. The main buckle is carved into the shape of a monkey's face, with an open mouth and hand. The eyes are outlined in black. There is a slot on the right side of the buckle to join it to the belt, there is also an extra ivory piece on the back to attach it to the other part of the buckle.
