needle case; textile

Felt needle case in an elongated hexagonal shape. A green pouch is mounted on a light and dark red felt panel. The pouch is decorated with orange openwork stitching, and a central ELIBELINDE (‘hands on hips’) motif. There is a light green cloth padded ball, which may act as a button fastening, stitched to the pouch at the top of the elibelinde motif. The red felt mounting is decorated with orange stitching and the borders are cut into a zig-zag (a protective 'mountains' pattern). There is blue openwork stitching at the top end of red felt mounting, which may act as a button loop with which to close the case.
