Flute. Boxwood body with nickel silver-plated keys, ferrules and tenons. Seven keys. Keys are block mounted with square flat flaps and leather pads. Block mounts are all turned away. Three joints. End of head joint open (missing end cap), stopped inside with cork. Head joint stamped: MONZANI; with a crown emblem above. Body joint stamped: MONZANI/3 OLD LONDON. Stt./LONDON/326; and: PATENT/6; Foot joint stamped: MONZANI; with a crown emblem above and: PATENT; Crown emblem is also stamped onto each keyflap. A paper label adhered to the reverse of the body joint reads: PROPERTY OF MR. M.S. GEORGE 12/8/32
