Flute. Boxwood body with nickel silver keys and ivory ferrules. Six keys, block mounted with a combination of pewter plugs and stuffed leather pads. Five joints. String lapped tenons. End cap and embouchure-hole bushing missing. Metal tuning slide connects head joint to barrel. Head joint ferrule stamped: PATENT; Barrel joint stamped: WILLm.HENRY/POTTER/IOHNSON'S COURT/FLEET STREET/LONDON; Upper joint and lower joint stamped: WILLm.HENRY/POTTER; Foot joint stamped: PATENT/WILLm.HENRY/POTTER
