Shell eblazoned with highly decorative regimental insignia. Maker's mark painted in gold letters on a black background, from top to bottom of drum. BOOSEY & Co. MAKERS, LONDON. Royal crest painted on body contains the motto: HON..OIT.QU...IAL...NSE../DIEU.ET.MON.DRIOT
