Clarinet in C. Boxwood with african blackwood (grenadilla) mouthpiece, brass keys and ivory ferrules. Twelve keys, block and saddle mounted with circular flat flaps and leather pads. Saddle mounted keys possibly later additions. Five pieces. String lapped tenons. Barrel joint has been shortened. Barrel, upper joint and lower joint stamped: BILTON/LONDON; Bell stamped: BILTON/LONDON/93. WESTMINSTER/BRIDGE ROAD; A unicorn's head emblem appears beneath each inscription.
