422.211.2 (single) clarinets with cylindrical bore, with fingerholes

Clarinet in B-flat. Boxwood body, ebony mouthpiece, ivory ferrules and six brass keys. Keys are block mounted with square flat flaps and leather pads. Six joints including mouthpiece. String lapped tenons. Shake key on upper joint missing - hole has been plugged with cork. Mouthpiece is stamped: B.WOOD.FECIT; Upper joint, middle joint and lower joint are stamped: GOULDING &Co.; Bell is stamped: GOULDING & Co./LONDON
