There will be no through route in the Gardens on Saturday 19 April, and the Gardens are open on Saturday to Spring Fair ticket holders only. Museum visitors need to enter and exit via London Road.
Hand-made circular woman's hat. With circular outer band and flat top with four ridges meeting at the centre. Base fabric is red velvet with a black strip round the edge, which is decorated with a row of flower-shaped metal studs. Each of the 4 upper sections has a panel of decoration formed of silver coloured fabric, sequins, imitation pearls and gold-coloured beads applied to the surface. Pink lining. Stitching visible on inside as is Chinese inscription in ink.
