Silk batik shawl, selendang, of 'Rembang' style. The main part is of slightly greenish beige where the fabric has been reserved, with a pattern in light and dark brown, of lokcan design, floral with stylisded phoenixes in main field. It is surrounded by triple border, the two outer narrow borders with a key fret design, and the inner one with a continuous stepped line of squared-off arches, in dark brown with lighter brown dots and short tendrils emerging from the corners to fill the spaces above and below the arches. It is hemmed at each end, with a black cotton fringe added. There is a blue ink stain at one end.
