holy water container; lid (containers)

Silver container for holy water, cecepan, with integral sprinkler. The shape is modelled on traditional ceramic kendi, with a wide shallow circular spouted body raised on a stem above the base, a long stem tapering gently towards the top where a wide collar is attached. Into this fits a lid with double pronged sprinkler. The lid is decorated above with engraved designs of downward poiting petals around a cross hatched central flower motif. Where it joins the body the upward pointing spout has a collar with banded engraved and repousse decoration.
