scroll painting (art)

Painted scroll made of splints of bamboo attached by twined yarn to two slats of bamboo, one each at top and bottom, at seven intervals along the width. The surface thus produced has been painted on one side to depict two Burmese dancers, male and female, in graceful pose against a dark green background. Fine cord inserted through two holes in top bamboo slat for suspension. Probably produced for tourists.
