sash

Multi coloured woven wool festival sash or 'sangachi' in orange, blue, white, green and florescent yellow colours.

Chitroyak sashes are broader than sangachi sashes and often exhibit more complex woven patterns (compare to objects 2014.86 and 2014.87). As is the case with sangachi sashes they are worn across the chest from shoulder to waist. However, they carry a special significance and are generally made by someone close to the wearer to be worn at significant events.
