Piccolo Trumpet in high Bb, made by Kurt Scherzer, Augsburg, Germany, c. 1945. Professor. A Piechler model. Brass with nickel silver-plated sleeves, valve levers and finger hook. Three top-action Riedl rotary valves with round, flat touches. Single bow between valve block and bell, with water key. Dummy tubing positioned between leadpipe and bow. Single tuning slide between valve block and bow extends bell forwards; dummy tubing also extends. Mouthpiece missing.
