Chess (shogi) piece, koma, pentagonal wedge-shaped piece. On the face are Japanese characters reading 'laurelled horse' (knight), on the reverse 'promoted laurel' (promoted knight). The sides are decorated with with a saya-gata design in red. 26mm x 25mm.
